  • End-of-Life Planning & Care: A Two-Part Series

    The Holy Family Respect Life Ministry will offer talks on end-of-life planning and care on Thursday, May 14 and May 28 at 5:30 pm in Holy Family Hall featuring Archdiocese of Milwaukee Director of Respect Life Ministry Rich Fedor and Fr. Matthew Kirk. The first talk on May 14 will be a workshop inspired by the Wisconsin Catholic Conference of Bishop’s document “Now and at the Hour of Our Death,” and discuss the importance of forms like the Wisconsin Power of Attorney for Health Care, Catholic Addendum to the WI POA-H, and the Final Disposition, and how to fill them out. The second talk on May 28 will discuss end-of-life issues and end-of-life care from a Catholic perspective, and the importance of discussing this with loved ones, particularly those making decisions on your behalf. Fr. Matthew will talk about the Anointing of the Sick and the Last Rites. Refreshments will be served. You do not have to attend the first talk to attend the second.

    Join us at the 8:00 am Mass at Holy Family on the First Saturday of the month for the Five First Saturdays Devotion. The Five First Saturdays Devotion is one of the principal points on the urgent need for mankind to offer reparation and expiate for the many injuries that the Immaculate Heart of Mary suffers from the hands of both the impious and the indifferent man. The devotion consists of: going to Confession; receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion; saying five decades of the Rosary; and mediating for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Rosary.

    Join us at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 12 for Divine Mercy Sunday, a celebration of our Lord's mercy given to us through the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ.On Divine Mercy Sunday, Jesus promised us that: “the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. … Let no soul fear to draw near to Me.” The afternoon will include Reconciliation from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, Silent Adoration from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet from 3:00 to 4:00 pm followed by Benediction. Mass will not be part of the celebration. A reminder that to receive the indulgence, confession should be celebrated within 20 days of Divine Mercy Sunday.
