Save the Date! Our next Women’s Ministry event is January 20, 2024!

Women of the parish are invited to join us for our Women’s Ministry Morning Retreat: Sharing Our Journey on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Holy Family Church and Hall. The day will feature a talk from Sandy Hardie, founder and executive director of Mahala’s Hope.

As part of the day, we will also collect items to benefit the clients of Mahala’s Hope, a recovery facility in Fond du Lac County for women. Please bring donations of winter hats/gloves, and personal hygiene items including, but not limited to: tampons, shampoo, and deodorant.

Who is Sandy Hardie?

Sandy Hardie, CSAC, ICS, CTS, founded Mahala’s Hope, a recovery facility in Fond du Lac County, which was designed specifically to help women address substance abuse and trauma. In long-term recovery herself, Sandy is a certified Independent Clinical Supervisor and Substance Abuse Counselor who has worked in the substance abuse for more than 30 years, with a focus on women and trauma for more than 20 years. Since 2001, Sandy has been facilitating equine programs, which are core part of the rehabilitation experience of Mahala’s Hope clients. Sandy serves on the State Council of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Diversity Committee, Secretary’s Advisory Council on Child Welfare, Fond du Lac County Opioid Task Force, and more.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

  • 7:00-8:00 am: Confession/Adoration
  • 7:30-7:50 am: Rosary
  • 8:00-8:45 am: Mass Fr. Kevin Tanel (Confessions after Mass, if needed)
  • 8:45-9:15 am: Breakfast prepared by the Men’s Group
  • 9:15-9:50 am: Talk on the Eucharistic Revival from Fr. Kevin Tanel
  • 9:50-10:00 am: A talk from Sandy Hardie, Executive Director and Founder of Mahala’s Hope
  • 10:15-10:20: Wrap up, small group reminders, Prayer
