Holy Communion

Eucharist is the source and summit of Catholic life and celebration of First Eucharist is an exciting event for young Catholics and their families. Children are invited to prepare for the sacrament when they reach the age of reason, usually around age 7 or in second grade. Parents, respected as the primary educators of their children, prepare the children with the support and cooperation of the parish community and staff. Special gatherings and events for families and materials are provided through the Christian Formation Office. An invitation to participate is extended every fall; the celebrations are during weekend liturgies during the Easter season.
