 It is with great excitement we share that renovations will begin at Sacred Heart Church this June. Through these changes, our goal is to further beautify the space by building upon the vision of the original architects and incorporating modern yet timeless elements that will add greater dignity to the liturgical environment, and in turn engage and uplift the faithful in their celebration of the sacred mysteries.

As preparations get underway, we would like to share with you what you can expect over the next seven months, and what changes will be coming to our Mass schedule due to these renovations.

Through the completion of renovations, we will follow the below schedule for Masses and programs held at Sacred Heart:

• Monday and Friday 12:00 pm Masses: St. Mary Church, 59 E. Merrill Ave., Fond du Lac
• Wednesday 6:00 pm Mass: Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac
• Saturday 4:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 and 11:00 am Masses: St. Mary Church
• Sunday 7:00 am Mass in Spanish: Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church

During renovations, we will offer Adoration at Presentation. Adoration will take place every day from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm, except for when Mass is celebrated. Our 6:00 pm Holy Hour in Spanish and 7:00 pm Holy Hour in English usually held at Sacred Heart will take place at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 705 Michigan Ave., North Fond du Lac

All of our Eucharistic Ministers who serve our homebound parishioners will be asked to either pick up Holy Communion at Holy Family Church, or at Mass. We thank our ministers, and all of our volunteers, for their service to these ministries.

Renovation Update – November 21, 2025

For nearly six months, we have been hard at work on renovations at Sacred Heart Church. Great progress has been made in that time. Crews have removed flooring and laid new concrete; gutted and redesigned bathrooms; designed a new sound system for our sanctuary; purchased statues of the Holy Family; manufactured new lighting, and designed artwork, flooring, and furnishings. Currently, we are awaiting the completion of the church’s new stonework, art, and other decorations and furnishings, which are needed before we can progress further.

Although we were hopeful to complete renovations by Christmas, we regret to share that we will be unable to do so. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back to Sacred Heart in early 2026.
We hope that you and your loved ones will join us for Christmas Mass at one of our other beautiful churches. As you will see, our Christmas Mass schedule has additional Mass times to accommodate as many people and schedules as possible.

Actualización sobre las renovaciones del Sagrado Corazón – 21 de noviembre

Durante casi seis meses, hemos estado trabajando arduamente en las renovaciones de la Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón. Se han logrado grandes avances en este tiempo. Se ha retirado el piso y se ha colocado concreto nuevo; se han remodelado los baños; se ha diseñado un nuevo sistema de sonido para nuestro santuario; se han adquirido estatuas de la Sagrada Familia; se ha fabricado nueva iluminación y se han diseñado obras de arte, pisos y mobiliario. Actualmente, estamos a la espera de que se completen los trabajos en piedra, las obras de arte y demás decoraciones y mobiliario de la iglesia, necesarios para poder continuar con las obras.

Aunque teníamos la esperanza de terminar las renovaciones para Navidad, lamentamos comunicarles que no será posible. Les pedimos disculpas por las molestias y esperamos darles la bienvenida nuevamente al Sagrado Corazón a principios de 2026.

Esperamos que ustedes y sus seres queridos nos acompañen en la Misa de Navidad en alguna de nuestras otras hermosas iglesias. Como podrán ver, nuestro horario de Misas de Navidad incluye horarios adicionales para dar cabida a la mayor cantidad de personas posible.

Be part of our Sacred Heart Renovation in a special way

There is no campaign to raise money for this project. Thanks to our parishioners’ generosity, the cost of our project will be covered by our Love One Another funds. However, if you would like to be part of this historic renovation, we have multiple opportunities for you to donate specific items to the church. These include but are not limited to stained-glass windows, our tabernacle, and a new crucifix. Any gifts will allow us to direct as much of our Love One Another funds as possible to projects like renovations at St. Peter and our Endowment Fund.
