 It is with great excitement we share that renovations will begin at Sacred Heart Church this June. Through these changes, our goal is to further beautify the space by building upon the vision of the original architects and incorporating modern yet timeless elements that will add greater dignity to the liturgical environment, and in turn engage and uplift the faithful in their celebration of the sacred mysteries.

As preparations get underway, we would like to share with you what you can expect over the next seven months, and what changes will be coming to our Mass schedule due to these renovations.

Through the completion of renovations, we will follow the below schedule for Masses and programs held at Sacred Heart:

• Monday and Friday 12:00 pm Masses: St. Mary Church, 59 E. Merrill Ave., Fond du Lac
• Wednesday 6:00 pm Mass: Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac
• Saturday 4:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 and 11:00 am Masses: St. Mary Church
• Sunday 7:00 am Mass in Spanish: Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church

During renovations, we will offer Adoration at Presentation. Adoration will take place every day from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm, except for when Mass is celebrated. Our 6:00 pm Holy Hour in Spanish and 7:00 pm Holy Hour in English usually held at Sacred Heart will take place at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 705 Michigan Ave., North Fond du Lac

All of our Eucharistic Ministers who serve our homebound parishioners will be asked to either pick up Holy Communion at Holy Family Church, or at Mass. We thank our ministers, and all of our volunteers, for their service to these ministries.

Renovation Update – January 16, 2026

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

I would like to thank you for the patience and understanding you have given to us over the past seven months as we have worked to renovate Sacred Heart Church.

We have made substantial progress since our last update this past fall. Crews have completely gutted and renovated our bathrooms; installed new tile flooring throughout the church and new sound system in the sanctuary; added vibrant shades of blue and red to the church’s back wall; created beautiful artwork, decorations, and furnishings to add greater dignity to the liturgical environment; and designed intricate floor medallions and lighting to complement the beautiful new space. Much of this work has been accomplished by talent artisans, who are diligently working to handcraft various facets of Sacred Heart. It has been incredible to watch these pieces come together and our renovated church take shape.

Throughout this process, however, we have encountered delays. Due to the detailed nature of the renovations, many of the furnishings and decorations are handcrafted, and need additional time to complete. We have also experienced shipping delays, as crews and artisans wait for their needed materials to arrive. Please know that we and everyone involved in this project are doing their best to complete the renovations as quickly as possible, while still maintaining the high level of quality that Sacred Heart deserves.

We anticipate that Sacred Heart will reopen in March, and we cannot wait to share it with you then. Once again, I thank you for your patience and grace throughout this process.

Actualización sobre las renovaciones del Sagrado Corazón – 16 de enero

Estimados hermanos y hermanas:

Quiero agradecerles la paciencia y la comprensión que nos han demostrado durante los últimos siete meses, mientras trabajábamos en la renovación de la Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón.

Hemos logrado un progreso considerable desde nuestra última actualización este otoño. Los equipos han remodelado completamente los baños; instalado nuevos pisos de baldosas en toda la iglesia y un nuevo sistema de sonido en el santuario; se añadierón tonos vibrantes azules y rojos a la pared trasera de la iglesia; creado hermosas obras de arte, decoraciones y mobiliario para realzar la dignidad del ambiente litúrgico; y hermosos medallones intrincados en el piso e iluminación que complementan este hermoso nuevo espacio. Gran parte de este trabajo ha sido realizado por talentosos artesanos, quienes trabajan diligentemente en la elaboración a mano de diversos elementos de la Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón. Ha sido increíble ver cómo estas piezas se unen y cómo nuestra iglesia renovada va tomando forma.

Sin embargo, durante este proceso, hemos experimentado algunos retrasos. Debido a la complejidad de las renovaciones, gran parte del mobiliario y las decoraciones se elaboran a mano y requieren tiempo adicional para su finalización. También hemos tenido retrasos en los envíos, ya que los equipos y artesanos esperan la llegada de los materiales necesarios. Les aseguramos que nosotros y todos los involucrados en este proyecto estamos haciendo todo lo posible para completar las renovaciones lo antes posible, manteniendo siempre la alta calidad que la Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón merece.

Nosotros anticipamos que la Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón reabrirá sus puertas en marzo, y estamos ansiosos por compartirla con ustedes. Una vez más, les agradezco su paciencia y comprensión durante todo este proceso.

Be part of our Sacred Heart Renovation in a special way

There is no campaign to raise money for this project. Thanks to our parishioners’ generosity, the cost of our project will be covered by our Love One Another funds. However, if you would like to be part of this historic renovation, we have multiple opportunities for you to donate specific items to the church. These include but are not limited to stained-glass windows, our tabernacle, and a new crucifix. Any gifts will allow us to direct as much of our Love One Another funds as possible to projects like renovations at St. Peter and our Endowment Fund.
