When asked what they should say in prayer the Lord gives his disciples the “Our Father.” This prayer is considered a gift from the Lord and one that we should especially turn to in times of crisis. This series will go line by line through the prayer highlighting what it meant to Jesus’ first century audience and what it means for us today.
Adoration at PresentationHoly Family Catholic Community offers Adoration, Confession, and Mass at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 705 Michigan Ave., in North Fond du Lac, every Thursday of the month except the first Thursday. Adoration begins at 6:30 pm and Mass at 7:30 pm. This night differs from Cor Jesu - held the first Thursday of the month at Presentation - as there are fewer opportunities for confession and music is not present throughout.

Your goal will be to personally meet Jesus yourself—to discover that He is your one true spiritual home and to develop a more significant relationship with Him. “In the fundamental prayer of the Church, the Eucharist, the heart of our life is not merely expressed but is realized day after day. At the most profound level, the Eucharist has to do with Christ alone. He prays for us; he puts his prayer on our lips, for only he can say: This is my Body – This is my Blood” (119.) Such words from Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, written while yet Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, invite usto encounter the Lord who comes to meet us in reality. By taking Ratzinger as our teacher, we can find in his book - a collection of homilies, addresses, and articles–what is needed to live, to pray the Holy Mass and to worship the Eucharistic Heart of our Lord. Mary Jo Neumann will once again help you gain strength and balance when her six-week Balance and Mobility Class returns this week. The class will be held on Mondays from 10:00 to 10:30 am on October 24-November 28. All classes will be held in the Sacred Heart School Gym, except the November 7th session, which will be held at Holy Family. The function of balance and mobility training is to help a person feel safe when moving. Participants should be able to walk without assistive devices, such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
