David the King Small Group/Bible Study

A study on the relationship of David with God including his calling, his fall and his restoration. In David the King, Bishop Barron helps us to understand this pivotal figure in light of the first king and the King of kings. Group limited to 20 participants. Quilters Group

Holy Family St. Mary Church 59 E. Merrill Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, United States

The Holy Family Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 am in the St. Mary's Church basement. All the quilts that we make go to the less fortunate people in the area. We also make lap quilts for the area nursing homes. We can use small pieces or yardage of new material to make the tops and clean blankets and mattress pads, also any sewing items.  These items can be dropped off at the church office, or call Dorothy, 921-5543, or Catherine, 539-0313 for pick up.

Exploring the Sunday Readings

This is a Bible Study for looking at the upcoming Sunday Readings. Each week will use the investigations and comments of bible scholars to learn the significant insights in each set of Sunday readings. We will further discuss and share how these readings apply to us and add enrichment to our lives. A great way to prepare for Sunday Mass! Group limited to six participants. Every Tuesday at St. Mary Church, those in need can get a free to-go meal, canned goods, and hygiene/cleaning items through the Blessed Bites program. Items are available from 4:30 to 5:30 pm - or until meals are gone. TBe Transformed offers all of the tools you need for a fresh understanding of the sacraments, including reflection questions, scripture meditations, prayers, and inspiring stories. You’ll discover how each sacrament can help you heal from wounds that can impede your relationships and sense of self-worth. You’ll learn how: Baptism makes us beloved children of God, healing our wounds of rejection. Holy Communion heals our wounds by inviting us to share in Jesus’ abiding presence. Confirmation overcomes our powerlessness through the power of the Holy Spirit. Holy Orders heals wounds by re-establishing God’s authority in our lives. In marriage, God’s faithful love heals wounds of fear and mistrust. Reconciliation restores purity and releases us from shame. St. Ambrose Men’s Group That Man is You!

You are invited to join dozens of men every Wednesday morning from 5:30 to 6:45 am in the Holy Family Hall, 271 Fourth Street Way, for Men's Group running from September 14 to December 14. That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The St. Ambrose Men's Group hosts "That Man is You" every Wednesday. The morning includes coffee and doughnuts, a video for the program at 6:00 am, and a small group discussion. Understanding the Scriptures

The class will be a survey of key texts from the Old and New Testaments. We will approach the text from more of an academic perspective using the historical theological methodology of the Quadriga, which are the four senses of Scripture taught by the Church Fathers. Class time will be a mixture of lecture on background information and interpretation-focused discussion.
