The Holy Family Warming Shelter will host a brat fry following the 4:00 pm Masses on Saturday, April 18 at Holy Family and Sacred Heart. Brats will be available for a freewill offering with all proceeds benefitting the Holy Family Warming Shelter and its efforts to care for our neighbors in need.
Holy Family will host “GriefShare,” a 13-week support group and seminar designed to help people rebuild their lives after loss on Mondays, February 2 to April 27 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the Holy Family Board Room. The Holy Family Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 am in the St. Mary's Church basement. All the quilts that we make go to the less fortunate people in the area. We also make lap quilts for the area nursing homes. We can use small pieces or yardage of new material to make the tops and clean blankets and mattress pads, also any sewing items. These items can be dropped off at the church office, or call Karen at (262) 629-4193 for pickup.
Every Tuesday at the Holy Family Warming Shelter, 73 E. First St., those in need can get a free to-go meal, canned goods, and hygiene/cleaning items through the Blessed Bites program. This special evening will begin at 5:30 pm, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. As you enjoy live music at our cocktail hour, you will have the opportunity to bid on an array of unique and valuable items during our online silent auction. After, you will be treated to a gourmet dinner catered by Wisconsin’s premiere caterer, Chef Jack’s, and a special presentation from our parish. The evening’s festivities are expected to conclude around 8:30 pm. Please note that business attire is requested for the event. The cost of the event is $200 per person. High school students! Come learn more about your faith and test your Bible knowledge at Holy Family High School Youth Group this April. The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. On Wednesday, April 8, all of our high school students are invited to bring their questions to our Q&A Night with Fr. Kevin Durand! Meet us in the Sacred Heart Victory Center (not the Sacred Heart Basement as usual) and ask your questions about faith, life, God, or the Church. Nothing is off limits! On April 22, test your Bible knowledge at Bible Jeopardy, hosted by a few of our parish's young adults in the Sacred Heart School Basement. All mom's and children are invited to join the Moms Group! Meeting on Thursdays from 9:30 to 10:30 am in Holy Family Hall, the Moms Group is an informal gathering where moms can enjoy fellowship and children can play together.
For any man looking to deepen their spiritual life, this retreat will focus on prayer and penance for one’s family especially those in our families who may not be practicing the Faith. Led by Fr. Ryan Pruess, this retreat will consist of Mass, communal prayer, confession, individual prayer, Adoration, and Benediction. It will also include time for spiritual reading and walking the beautiful property of the Schoenstatt Fathers and Sisters, which boasts a beautiful old German chapel to Our Lady. The goal will be to equip and refresh men of any age with the spiritual tools to protect and encourage devotion within their families and the Church as true spiritual fathers. The retreat will take place from 6:00 pm on Friday, April 24 to 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 26 at the Schoenstatt Retreat Center in Waukesha.
