When asked what they should say in prayer the Lord gives his disciples the “Our Father.” This prayer is considered a gift from the Lord and one that we should especially turn to in times of crisis. This series will go line by line through the prayer highlighting what it meant to Jesus’ first century audience and what it means for us today.
Holy Family Catholic Community's Cor Jesu takes place the first Thursday of each month at Holy Family Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 705 Michigan Ave., North Fond du Lac. Meaning "Heart of Christ" in Latin, Cor Jesu is a fierce evening of prayer with Mass, Adoration, and Confession. These are the ever-important questions answered in Genesis to Jesus. Join us to learn the basic Catholic principles for reading Scripture and to survey the broad outlines of the books of the Bible and their place in the story of salvation. Join us at the 8:00 am Mass at Presentation on the First Saturday of the month for the Five First Saturdays Devotion. The Five First Saturdays Devotion is one of the principal points on the urgent need for mankind to offer reparation and expiate for the many injuries that the Immaculate Heart of Mary suffers from the hands of both the impious and the indifferent man. The devotion consists of: going to Confession; receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion; saying five decades of the Rosary; and mediating for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Rosary.
Our Risen Savior will host a Pie Social in honor of St. Nicholas Day on Sunday, December 4 following the 10:00 am Mass. All are welcome to join the social for fellowship and a visit from St. Nicholas, who will speak with children!
The St. Peter Altar & Rosary Society annual Christmas gathering will be on Monday, December 5 at Sunset on the Water. Social and drinks will be at 6:00 pm with a sit-down dinner at 6:30 pm.
