Genesis to Jesus from St. Paul Center

What is the Bible, where does it come from, and what is its purpose? How are Catholics supposed to read the Bible and what story does it tell? These are the ever-important questions answered in Genesis to Jesus. Join us to learn the basic Catholic principles for reading Scripture and to survey the broad outlines of the books of the Bible and their place in the story of salvation. The group meets at two times: Mondays, September 12-December 5 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Holy Family South Hall OR Fridays, September 9-December 9 (excluding November 25) from 6:00 to 7:30 am in the Holy Family South Hall. Required Materials: Genesis to Jesus Workbook ($25), A Father Who Keeps His Promises by Scott Hahn ($19 if ordered through Holy Family, cheaper on Amazon), Catholic Bible, & Catechism of the Catholic Church.
