Women’s Ministry: Sharing Our Journey
Women of the parish are invited to attend our Women’s Ministry “Sharing Our Journey” event on Thursday, September 17, from 5:40 to 8:00 pm at Holy Family Church. The night will begin with the Rosary and Mass, followed by refreshments and a social in the Hall. Holy Family Priest, Fr. Nicholas Waddell, will share a talk on “The Vocation of Women: An Icon Against Idolatry.” After, we will have an activity and fellowship.

About the talk:
Ever since the Fall, humanity has a proclivity to build idols. Everything that once was a reminder of our place as creatures becomes defaced in our attempt to escape God. Man and woman were created in harmony – but this too has become a source of conflict. Women, the height of creation, remind man that he is not God. The vocation of Women is to make manifest the beauty and glory of being a creature and because of this, women become a splendid Icon against Idolatry.
