Children's Liturgy of the Word

This ministry provides kids with an opportunity to go through the Liturgy of the Word (the Readings, Psalm, Gospel, Homily, and Prayers of the Faithful) but at their level. This ministry is targeted for children ages 4-7 who have not received First Communion. During the Mass the children leave before the Liturgy of the Word to hear the readings from the Children’s Lectionary instead. These are the Sunday readings, put together by the United States Bishops, specifically for children. 

This ministry is currently offered from Fall-Easter at the following sites:

St. Peter 8:30 am Sunday Mass (beginning the first weekend of October)

Our Risen Savior 10:00 am Sunday Mass on the first Sunday of the month (beginning the first weekend of October)

We are still looking for volunteers to assist in offering this ministry at our Sunday Masses at 9:00 am at St. Mary (Sacred Heart), 10:00 am at Our Risen Savior, and 10:00 am at Holy Family.
