Catholics have a deep love for, and devotion to, Mary, which is often misunderstood. By studying her presence in the Gospels – and through the lens of Catholic art – we can better understand Mary’s role in salvation history and appreciate her advocacy on our behalf. McCauley is the Director of Adult Faith Formation at St. Anthony on the Lake Parish in Pewaukee. A professor, teacher, and speaker, Al is also the creator and host of the weekly Catholic YouTube web series “Fish on Fridays.”
