Support Catholic Relief Services’ work in Ukraine
As the war in Ukraine continues, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens and residents have been forced to take refugee in neighboring countries, while others remain in the country to try to fight and stay safe during increasing attacks.
This has created a humanitarian crisis in the country and in neighboring areas, like Moldova and Romania. Food and fuel are in short supply. Airports have been damaged. Cash is unavailable due to issues with the banking system. Routes throughout and out of the country are becoming more and more difficult to traverse because of the blockage of military vehicles.
Catholic Relief Services is on the ground Ukraine, working to respond with Caritas Ukraine, an organization which for years has worked out of its 17 diocesan offices in the country to help those displaced by conflict.
With Catholic Relief Services’ support, Caritas Ukraine is doing critical work to help to evacuate children and adults, as well as get them food, water, safe shelter, and “psychosocial support.”
