New life at Sacred Heart Rectory
Dear Holy Family Catholic Community Parishioner(s),
We have good news to share! Thanks to you, last year we were able to purchase our new rectory for our Holy Family priest team to share. With all of our priests living under one roof, we began to consider what our options were for our old rectories which needed great repair to become livable again. Recently, an opportunity presented itself to give the Sacred Heart Rectory new life.
We are excited to announce that Holy Family has leased the Sacred Heart Rectory to The Solutions Center to become a shelter for individuals and families in our community fleeing domestic violence. The shelter could potentially house six family units and has a shared living room, dining room, and kitchen space for them to utilize together, as well as space for individual programs and case management services. To make it suitable for this purpose, The Solutions Center has made repairs and renovations to the rectory, and during their lease, will be responsible the upkeep, maintenance, repairs, and utility expenses of the building.
Solutions Center staff are and will continue to be present at the shelter 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The shelter will not impact any programming at Sacred Heart or parking as all residents will park in the rectory’s garage and not use any parking in the handicap area near the church or in the main lot.
Currently, The Solutions Center is leasing the rectory for two years, with plans to possibly convert the shelter into transitional housing still managed by the center. The space would help clients who are more self-sufficient and soon to have their own housing continue to get on their feet as they work and attend programming. We will be sure to share more information on these plans in the future.
We are blessed to have the privilege of providing our former rectory for such a great cause. We know that is only because of you and your fellow parishioners that we are able to do so, and once again, I would like to thank you for your outstanding generosity and support of our parish. You demonstrate time and again that through our Catholic community, we have the power to impact our Fond du Lac community and beyond and change lives for the better.

¡Tenemos buenas noticias para compartir! Gracias a usted, el año pasado pudimos comprar nuestra nueva rectoría para que la comparta nuestro equipo de sacerdotes de Holy Family. Con todos nuestros sacerdotes viviendo bajo un mismo techo, comenzamos a considerar cuáles eran nuestras opciones para nuestras antiguas rectorías que necesitaban grandes reparaciones para volver a ser habitables. Recientemente, se presentó una oportunidad para darle nueva vida a la Rectoría del Sagrado Corazón.
Nos complace anunciar que Holy Family ha alquilado la Rectoría del Sagrado Corazón a The Solutions Center para que se convierta en un refugio para las personas y familias de nuestra comunidad que huyen de la violencia doméstica. El refugio podría albergar potencialmente a seis unidades familiares y tiene una sala de estar, un comedor y un espacio de cocina compartidos para que los utilicen juntos, así como un espacio para programas individuales y servicios de gestión de casos. Para adecuarlo a este propósito, The Solutions Center ha realizado reparaciones y renovaciones a la rectoría, y durante su arrendamiento, se hará cargo de los gastos de conservación, mantenimiento, reparaciones y servicios públicos del edificio.
El personal del Centro de Soluciones está y seguirá estando presente en el refugio las 24 horas del día, los siete días de la semana.
