The Holy Family Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 am in the St. Mary's Church basement. All the quilts that we make go to the less fortunate people in the area. We also make lap quilts for the area nursing homes. We can use small pieces or yardage of new material to make the tops and clean blankets and mattress pads, also any sewing items. These items can be dropped off at the church office, or call Dorothy, 921-5543, or Catherine, 539-0313 for pick up.

This month, join us as we celebrate Mardi Gras & Valentine's Day, help others, and come together for a night of worship. The function of balance and mobility training is to help a person feel safe when moving from place to place. Participants should be able to walk without assistive devices, such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. Tennis shoes and comfortable clothes recommend. Bring own water bottle. Join us at the 8:00 am Mass at Holy Family on the First Saturday of the month for the Five First Saturdays Devotion. The Five First Saturdays Devotion is one of the principal points on the urgent need for mankind to offer reparation and expiate for the many injuries that the Immaculate Heart of Mary suffers from the hands of both the impious and the indifferent man. The devotion consists of: going to Confession; receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion; saying five decades of the Rosary; and mediating for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Rosary.
The whole family is invited to join Holy Family for its Disney Universe Trivia Night on Saturday, February 3 following the 4:00 pm Mass at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. The trivia night will feature questions from throughout the Disney collection, including classic Disney films, the Marvel multiverse, and the "Star Wars" galaxy. This night is open to people of all ages. Admission is free and pizza, snacks, and water will be available for purchase. Prizes will be given out. We hope you will join us!
Calling all card players! Holy Family will host its Euchre Tournament on Sunday, February 4 at Holy Family Hall (inclement weather date: February 11). Join your fellow parishioners to play Euchre and enjoy food and beverages. Sign-in begins at 11:00 am and the tournament will begin at 12:00 pm. Partners will be randomly assigned. The cost is $20 per person, which includes food and beverages, and can be paid the day of the event. We will initially limit the tournament to the first 60 people. Holy Family invites high school students to join them on their trip to the Steubenville-St. Paul Conference July 26-28. Steubenville-St. Paul is a weekend conference that evangelizes, equips and empowers high school youth to become radical, joyful disciples. There are 20 spots reserved which will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. The parish will host hold an informational meeting for the trip on Thursday, February 8 at 6:00 pm in the Sacred Heart School Basement. Celebrate Fat Tuesday, February 13, by stopping by Dairy Queen at 635 W. Johnson St. that day. Proceeds from purchases that day will benefit the Holy Family Warming Shelter, which serves those experiencing homelessness in the area every night through the end of April. The restaurant is open from 10:00 am and 9:00 pm, so pick up lunch, dinner, or a sweet treat, like a Blizzard or Dilly Bar!

On Tuesday, February 27, we invite you to join us and Archbishop Listecki for Catholic Charities’ Quad-Counties North Lenten Luncheon from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Holy Family Hall! The luncheon will celebrate Catholic Charities' mission of serving those in need, advocating for justice, and calling upon others to do the same. It will also honor as and Diane Thome, Fr. John Radetski, and Solutions Center as Treasures of the Church Awardees for their compassionate service to the organization. The cost to attend is $25 per person, or $150 for a table of six, and includes a simple lunch of soup and salad, as well as dessert, generously donated by Mr. and Mrs. Catering. That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive! Get ready! One of Holy Family Catholic Community's most delicious events is back! Soup du Jour will return to Holy Family Church Saturday, March 2. The fundraiser, which sells soup donated by your favorite area restaurants, will benefit the Holyland Food Pantry and Holy Family Warming Shelter. Based in Marytown, Holyland Food Pantry provides supplemental and emergency food to people in need in the Holyland, as well as refers people to additional resources. The Holy Family Warming Shelter opened in November 2023 and every night provides warmth, safety, and food to single adults experiencing homelessness in the community. Soup du Jour will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 2 at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way on the south side of the church beneath the canopy. Soup will be available on a first come, first served basis for $6 per cup and $15 for three.
