All mom's and children are invited to join the Moms Group! Meeting on Thursdays from 9:30 to 10:30 am in Holy Family Hall, the Moms Group is an informal gathering where moms can enjoy fellowship and children can play together.
Join us at the 8:00 am Mass at Holy Family on the First Saturday of the month for the Five First Saturdays Devotion. The Five First Saturdays Devotion is one of the principal points on the urgent need for mankind to offer reparation and expiate for the many injuries that the Immaculate Heart of Mary suffers from the hands of both the impious and the indifferent man. The devotion consists of: going to Confession; receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion; saying five decades of the Rosary; and mediating for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Rosary.
All children are invited to join us for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt following the 10:00 am Mass at Holy Family Church on Easter Sunday, April 5! Children will search our Prayer Garden for thehundreds of eggs we will have hidden, and in the event of inclement weather, they will hunt in Holy Family Hall. Children are welcome to bring their own baskets, but bags will be provided.
Holy Family will host “GriefShare,” a 13-week support group and seminar designed to help people rebuild their lives after loss on Mondays, February 2 to April 27 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the Holy Family Board Room. The Holy Family Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 am in the St. Mary's Church basement. All the quilts that we make go to the less fortunate people in the area. We also make lap quilts for the area nursing homes. We can use small pieces or yardage of new material to make the tops and clean blankets and mattress pads, also any sewing items. These items can be dropped off at the church office, or call Karen at (262) 629-4193 for pickup.
Every Tuesday at the Holy Family Warming Shelter, 73 E. First St., those in need can get a free to-go meal, canned goods, and hygiene/cleaning items through the Blessed Bites program. Items are available from 4:00 to 4:30 pm - or until meals are gone. All who are in need are welcome. En Refugio de la Sagrada Familia, 73 E. On Tuesday, April 7, learn about the impact of addiction, the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding it, and the resources available to those battling it from FDL County Drug Court Coordinator Jennifer Laning, CSAC, Gratitude Club Manager Ellen Buretta, and others who work with those suffering from the disease. Taking place in Holy Family Hall at 6:30 pm, the presentation will also include a talk from a parish family who lost a loved one to addiction. This talk was rescheduled from Thursday, January 22 due to inclement weather.
High school students! Come learn more about your faith and test your Bible knowledge at Holy Family High School Youth Group this April. The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. On Wednesday, April 8, all of our high school students are invited to bring their questions to our Q&A Night with Fr. Kevin Durand! Meet us in the Sacred Heart Victory Center (not the Sacred Heart Basement as usual) and ask your questions about faith, life, God, or the Church. Nothing is off limits! On April 22, test your Bible knowledge at Bible Jeopardy, hosted by a few of our parish's young adults in the Sacred Heart School Basement. Join us at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 12 for Divine Mercy Sunday, a celebration of our Lord's mercy given to us through the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ.On Divine Mercy Sunday, Jesus promised us that: “the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. … Let no soul fear to draw near to Me.” The afternoon will include Reconciliation from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, Silent Adoration from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet from 3:00 to 4:00 pm followed by Benediction. Mass will not be part of the celebration. A reminder that to receive the indulgence, confession should be celebrated within 20 days of Divine Mercy Sunday.
