In honor of Respect Life Month, Holy Family Catholic Community will host the Rachel Rosary in the Sacred Heart Adoration Chapel beginning at 1:00 pm on October 3. Including five Sorrowful Mysteries and one Glorious Mystery, the Rachel Rosary is an intercessory prayer which prays for those who suffer from post-abortion syndrome.

Life Chain Sunday

Life Chain SundayJoin us on Sunday, October 3 as we offer one hour silent prayer for the unborn and vulnerable from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on the corner of West Johnson Street and Peters Avenue in Fond du Lac. Building the Domestic Church Parent Sessions: Living as a Catholic Family

All parents are invited to attend Holy Family’s Building the Domestic Church sessions, which will teach attendees how to take their Catholic faith beyond the church doors and into their home. The first session, set for 6:20-7:20 pm on Wednesday, October 13 at Sacred Heart Church, will discuss the topic “Living as a Catholic Family” presented by Fr. Ryan Pruess and Tom and Martha Endejan. Learn what the domestic church is, what it means to have a Catholic home, and what the role is of a Catholic parent at the session. Childcare will be available for children ages 3 and up. Please drop children off in the gym of Sacred Heart School. 

Screening of “Roe v. Wade”

Holy Family Catholic Community to screen film Roe V. WadeHoly Family Catholic Community will host a screening and discussion of the 2020 film "Roe V. Wade" from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, October 29. The movie offers a dramatized look at the events that led to the court ruling in the early 1970s. The official description of the film reads "Dr. Bernard Nathanson and Dr. Mildred Jefferson square off in a national battle in this untold conspiracy that led to the most famous and controversial court case in history." Fr. Justin Weber will lead a discussion following the film.

Grief Share: Surviving the Holidays

Holy Family Catholic Community will offer the seminar "Grief Share: Surviving the Holidays" from 1:00 to 3:00 pm or 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 4 in the Holy Family Conference Room, 271 Fourth Street Way to help those experiencing loss learn tools to navigate the holiday season. Participants will learn how to deal with their emotions, what to do about traditions, how to survive social events, and how to find hope for the future. Holy Family Catholic Community to offer "Grief Share: Surviving the Holidays" Join Holy Family Catholic Community as we work to make pillow cases for those in need with our program Creating 'Cases. Volunteers of all ages are needed to cut fabric, design colorful combinations, pin, and sew pillows with sewing machines from 3:45 to 5:15 pm on October 21 and 28 at Holy Family Hall. Pillow cases will go to the "Sleep in Heavenly Peace" bed build, Salvation Army Warming Shelter, St. Katharine Drexel Shelter, and more. This session will discuss praying as a family and the importance of it and individual prayer in the home. It will also offer an introduction to how to pray together and examples of prayers to use, as well as cover introducing prayer intentions to children and the role of prayer during Advent. Childcare will be available for children ages 3 and up. Please drop children off in the gym of Sacred Heart School.

Holy Family Catholic Community Advent Talks

Catherine and Chris McGalloway will host our Advent Talk series where our priest team will explore the Prophet Isaiah, John the Baptist, Mary, and Joseph on Mondays throughout the Advent season at 6:30 pm at Sacred Heart Church. Each talk is 30 minutes, followed by a 30 minute discussion/Q&A and a decade of the Rosary. Monday, November 29: Fr. Ryan will discuss the Prophet Isaiah, the Incarnation, and God coming to us in human form. Monday, December 6: Fr. Fabián will dive into John the Baptist and how like he prepared for Jesus, we prepare for Jesus' second coming, waiting in joyful hope. Monday, December 13: Fr. Edward will look at Mother Mary, her obedience, and how she is the perfect image to inspire us to wait and desire to see the Lord's face. Monday, December 20: In our final week, Fr. Justin will journey with Joseph as we recall his silence and courage.
