Volunteer Appreciation Packer Party

Volunteer Appreciation Packer Party We will host a Volunteer Appreciation Packer Party on Sunday, November 6 in the Holy Family Hall following the 10:00 am Mass. We want to celebrate all of the volunteers from all of our sites. If you are an Usher, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Cantor, Sacristan, Mass Sever, Choir member, serve on one of our many committees and commissions, mow grass, tend to flower beds, wash church linens, cut down trees and brush, volunteer making meals, volunteer with the Angel Tree program, host donut Sundays, volunteer at our festivals, help to clean the church, teach religious education, decorate the churches, lead a small group, or are part of any other volunteer activity in the parish, we want to celebrate you and your family! We will have pizza, snacks, and soda available and the Packer vs. Lions Game playing on the large wall screen in the hall. Door prizes will be drawn at half-time. Praying the Liturgy of the Hours: A Practical and Informative Introduction

Do you struggle with consistency in prayer? Or finding words for prayer? Would you like to enter more into the liturgical seasons and the prayer of the universal Church? By tradition going back to early Christian times, the Liturgy of the Hours makes holy the whole course of the day and night by the praises of God. Join us as Dr. Mike Brummond, doctorate in Sacred Theology, explains the Liturgy of the Hours, the impact it can have on our spiritual life, and the practical tools to begin praying it. Dr. Brummond will speak at Holy Family from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 21 and 9:00 am to noon on Saturday, October 22. Genesis to Jesus from St. Paul Center

What is the Bible, where does it come from, and what is its purpose? How are Catholics supposed to read the Bible and what story does it tell? These are the ever-important questions answered in Genesis to Jesus. Join us to learn the basic Catholic principles for reading Scripture and to survey the broad outlines of the books of the Bible and their place in the story of salvation. The group meets at two times: Mondays, September 12-December 5 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Holy Family South Hall OR Fridays, September 9-December 9 (excluding November 25) from 6:00 to 7:30 am in the Holy Family South Hall. Angelology & Archangels

St. Ambrose Men’s Group That Man is You!

You are invited to join dozens of men every Wednesday morning from 5:30 to 6:45 am in the Holy Family Hall, 271 Fourth Street Way, for Men's Group running from September 14 to December 14. That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The St. Ambrose Men's Group hosts "That Man is You" every Wednesday. The morning includes a full breakfast, a video for the program at 6:00 am, and a small group discussion. Six-Week Balance and Mobility Class

Please note: This class is now full and we are not taking anymore registrations. Mary Jo Neumann will help you gain strength and balance in her six-week Balance and Mobility Class. The function of balance and mobility training is to help a person feel safe when moving from place to place.  The class will take place from 10:00 to 10:30 am on Mondays, September 12, 19, & 26, and October 3, 10 &17 in Holy Family Hall.  Participants should be able to walk without assistive devices, such as canes, walkers, and wheel chairs. Learn how to extend this invitation to others at My Parish Matters, a training on sharing the Gospel with people you care about and inviting them into our parish community from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 10 at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. Registration begins at 8:30 am.  The morning will be one of inspiration, practical training, and prayer. When you attend, you will be able to choose one of two tracks to learn from: The Parish Track: Training to make your parish a community where all are invited, welcomed, accompanied, and engaged in practically living our faith. Personal Track: Training to help your friends and family encounter Jesus & his Church and choose to follow as a disciple. The cost is $10 to attend. Understanding the Scriptures

The class will be a survey of key texts from the Old and New Testaments. We will approach the text from more of an academic perspective using the historical theological methodology of the Quadriga, which are the four senses of Scripture taught by the Church Fathers. Class time will be a mixture of lecture on background information and interpretation-focused discussion. Celebrate Holy Family Gala

We are excited to announce that our Celebrate Holy Family Gala Event will be held on Wednesday, May 4 at Holy Family Hall, 271 Fourth Street Way, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a wonderful gourmet dinner catered by Chef Jack’s, Wisconsin’s premier caterer! There will also be a silent auction and a fabulous musical ensemble that will play for your enjoyment. Dress is business attire and we are planning a special presentation reminiscing and celebrating Holy Family’s activities and events of the past year. We expect to conclude the night around 8:30 pm. The cost of the event is $150 per person; or a table of 8 people for $1,200. All reservations and payments must be received at the Holy Family Office by April 1, 2022.
