St. Vincent de Paul asks parishioners for support

A message from St. Vincent de Paul:

Dear Holy Family Parishioners,

St. Vincent de Paul Holy Family Conference would like to thank you again for you great and awesome generosity. You continue to help in ways that make a difference everyday in our community.

The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes is found in all 4 Gospels.  This story remains memorable through the years, and we contemplate why…..

  • is it because when we find ourselves in challenging circumstances that we need to Trust in God, and he makes the outcome far better than we could have ever imagined
  • is it because when we hear that in a crowd of 5,000 people that an unlikely, young, Jewish boy is the one who brought the 5 loaves and 2 fish and shared them, and we wonder if we could be put in a position to do something BIG like that

St. Vincent de Paul Holy Family Conference asks for your help and your generosity. Deep within our hearts, we ALL want to accept God’s invitation to participate in God’s work and share what we have with others.

God’s Boundless Generosity and Care provides for ALL needs. Recently, we met with a young, homeless person who has a job paying $12 an hour. The hours are variable, and many people are trying to help with the situation, including St. Vincent de Paul.

After we were done praying together, he picked up his head and looked at us with awe. He said he had never prayed before, and that he felt something right here. And then, he brought his hand up to touch his heart. It still brings tears to my eyes.

Thank you for anything you can do to help.
