Fr. Waddell grew up in a Catholic family, attending Mass every Sunday and regularly praying the family Rosary. He attended Catholic school most of his life, which he credits with allowing him to grow in love of the Truth of the Catholic faith.
While studying at the University of Mary, he fostered relationships which helped to strengthen his faith, and it was during his study abroad experience in Rome that he began to discern a call to the Priesthood. Although initially reluctant, the desire to become a priest emerged as he worked as a missionary in New York and he followed Christ’s call.
He was ordained this in May 2026.
In his free time, he enjoys reading and spending time with friends as well as being outdoors.
