Fr. Fernando Torres was born in Mexico City in 1983. He entered the seminary in the Congregation of the Marist Fathers in 2006 and studied philosophy in the Marist University of Guadalajara and Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He also received a master’s in Misology from the Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico City. Fr. Fernando was ordained into the priesthood in 2015 and served four years in the Campus Ministry at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City. He also served at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México as chaplain for the missionary centers in charge of evangelization, while teaching religion for six years to elementary, middle, and high school students. Since August 2023, he has served as the Associate Pastor at Saint Adalbert in Milwaukee.
“I am so happy and grateful to become part of the community of Holy Family in Fond du Lac and to be able to share the faith and collaborate with the mission of the parish. It’s always a blessing for me to meet new people, and work together to become a presence of hope, especially for the people who suffer,” he said.
