Holy Hour for Peace

This month, we will join with parishes throughout the United States to offer Holy Hours for Peace and pray for peace in our nation and throughout the world.
 
At 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 24, come to Presentation to pray the Rosary for peace with Fr. Ryan Pruess. Fr. Fernando will lead the Rosary for peace on Thursday, February 26 at 6:00 pm at Presentation with our Hispanic community.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
 
If you are unable to attend a Holy Hour, you are welcome to join us at Adoration any time at Presentation from 4:00 am to 10:00 pm every day (except when Mass is offered on Sundays or during funerals). Rosaries and prayer sheets will be available.
 
In the words of Archbishop Coakley, “Let us pray for reconciliation where there is division, for justice where there are violations of fundamental rights, and for consolation for all who feel overwhelmed by fear or loss. I encourage Catholics everywhere to participate, whether in parishes, chapels, or before the Lord present in the quiet of their hearts for healing in our nation and communities.
 
May this Holy Hour be a moment of renewal for our hearts and for our nation. Entrusting our fears and hopes to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us ask the Lord to make us instruments of his peace and witnesses to the inherent dignity of every person.”
 

Este mes, nos uniremos a parroquias de todo Estados Unidos para ofrecer Horas Santas por la Paz y orar por la paz en nuestra nación y en todo el mundo.

El martes 24 de febrero, a las 6:00 p. m., los invitamos a la Parroquia de la Presentación para rezar el Rosario por la paz con el Padre Ryan Pruess. El Padre Fernando dirigirá el Rosario por la paz el jueves 26 de febrero a las 6:00 p. m. en la Parroquia de la Presentación con nuestra comunidad hispana.

Todos son bienvenidos y los animamos a participar.

Si no pueden asistir a una Hora Santa, pueden unirse a nosotros en la Adoración en cualquier momento en la Parroquia de la Presentación, de 4:00 a. m. a 10:00 p. m. todos los días (excepto durante la Misa dominical o los funerales). Habrá rosarios y folletos de oración disponibles.

En palabras del Arzobispo Coakley: “Oremos por la reconciliación donde hay división, por la justicia donde hay violaciones de los derechos fundamentales y por el consuelo para todos los que se sienten abrumados por el miedo o la pérdida. Animo a los católicos de todas partes a participar, ya sea en parroquias, capillas o ante el Señor presente en la quietud de sus corazones, pidiendo la sanación de nuestra nación y nuestras comunidades.

Que esta Hora Santa sea un momento de renovación para nuestros corazones y para nuestra nación. Confiando nuestros miedos y esperanzas al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, pidamos al Señor que nos haga instrumentos de su paz y testigos de la dignidad inherente de cada persona”.
