Celebrate Erin Cobb by attending Vatican II Awards
We are excited to announce that our Director of Human Concerns Erin Cobb will receive the St. John XXIII Award for Spirit of the Council at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee‘s Vatican II Awards.
According to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, “the recipient of this award is an exemplary leader in our Archdiocese who embodies the vision of the Second Vatican Council through innovative ministry, with faith-filled passion for the Church, and in tune with the ‘Sign of the Times.’”
“When we think of the bible verse, Matthew 25:35-40, in many ways, Erin is living out Jesus’s call. ‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Where there is a need in our community, Erin seeks to find a way to help. Her impact is seen throughout Fond du Lac from those who are homebound and seeking Communion and connection, to the most vulnerable in need of hope, compassion, and the reminder that they are a loved child of God,” Holy Family Catholic Community Pastor Very Rev. Ryan J Pruess said. “We are blessed to have Erin as part of Holy Family, and thank the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for recognizing her incredible work and dedication to serving others.”
In celebration, we invite you to join us on our bus trip down to the Vatican II Awards on Tuesday, September 22 at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Milwaukee. The cost is $20 per person and includes a boxed meal. Plan to meet at Holy Family at 3:25 pm. We will leave Holy Family at 3:45 pm for the awards at 6:00 pm. We plan to return by 10:00 pm.
