SUMMARY:Soup du Jour
DESCRIPTION:Purchase great soups donated by more than 20 Fond du Lac restaurants to benefit those in need when you come to Soup du Jour on Saturday\, March 22 at Holy Family Church. More than a dozen soups will be available for purchase\, with the proceeds benefiting the Holyland Food Pantry and the St. Vincent de Paul of FDL County. Soups will be available on a first come\, first served basis beginning at 1:00 pm in the drive-thru line beneath the canopy entrance on the church’s south side. Soups will be $6 a cup or three for $15 – no cards accepted. Participating restaurants include: A & W Restaurant\, Ala Roma\, Avenue 795\, Blue Line Tavern\, Bob’s on the Avenue\, Boda’s Restaurant & Catering\, Downtown Deli – Donated by Elaine Graf- First Weber\, Eden Catering\, Faros Restaurant & Cocktails\, Fat Joe’s Burgers and Brew\, Friar Tuck’s\, Gilles Frozen Custard\, Oasis Family Restaurant\, Red Cabin at Green Acres\, Rolling Meadows Restaurant\, The Diner\, The Hive/ Juan’s Catering\, The New Stretch Restaurant\, The Sweet & Salty Pig\, Theo’s 24\, and Tucker’s Hamburgers.\n \nMichael Schaefer and Fr. Matthew Kirk\, as well as Holy Family Human Concerns Commission\, Pastoral Council\, Hispanic Ministry\, and Staff will also contribute soup.\n \n\nIf you are interested in volunteering to assist at our Soup du Jour event\, we are looking for people to help scoop and package soup at 1:00 pm in Holy Family Hall on Friday\, March 21\, as well as for volunteers to act as carhops on Saturday\, March 22 at 1:00 pm. DESCRIPTION:Women of the parish are invited to join Holy Family Catholic Community for our Women’s Ministry Morning Retreat “Sharing Our Journey” on Saturday\, January 18\, 2025\, from 7:00 to 10:30 am at Holy Family Church and Hall. The day will feature Confession\, Adoration\, Mass\, breakfast\, and talks on “Entering the Song: The Powerful Gift of the Masculine and Feminine Hearts.” We are excited to welcome speakers Emily Davenport\, Maggie Ederle\, and Sr. Miriam James Heidland\, who you may know from the Healing the Whole Person program\, the Hallow app\, and as one of the emcees for the National Eucharistic Congress. The women serve with Friends of the Bridegroom\, a ministry dedicated toward the healing\, renewal and expansion of religious life and the priesthood. The event is free to attend\, but freewill offerings are appreciated. \n\nDue to an incredible response\, we are now requesting that people RSVP for the event to help us better estimate the number of attendees. She is affiliated with the John Paul II Healing Center and currently serves as the Executive Director of Friends of the Bridegroom\, a ministry dedicated toward the healing\, renewal and expansion of religious life and the priesthood. \nEmily Davenport is originally from St. Louis\, and moved to Milwaukee in 2020. She has served as a missionary in both youth and young adult settings for several years. She currently serves full time with Friends of the Bridegroom\, a movement for the healing\, renewal\, and expansion of women’s religious life and the priesthood. \nMaggie Ederle grew up in St Louis as the eighth of ten children. After studying Theology at Benedictine College she spent time in various roles in parish life\, hospital and nursing home ministry\, and a diocesan seminary. She is now serving with Friends of the Bridegroom\, a movement for the healing\, renewal\, and expansion of women’s religious life and the priesthood.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at the 8:00 am Mass at Holy Family on the First Saturday of the month for the Five First Saturdays Devotion. \nThe Five First Saturdays Devotion is one of the principal points on the urgent need for mankind to offer reparation and expiate for the many injuries that the Immaculate Heart of Mary suffers from the hands of both the impious and the indifferent man. \nThe devotion consists of: going to Confession; receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion; saying five decades of the Rosary; and mediating for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Rosary.
