DESCRIPTION:Get your favorite soups from your local restaurants all in one place when Soup du Jour returns to Holy Family on Saturday\, February 18! The fundraiser will sell soup donated by local restaurants and our Holy Family staff to once again benefit the St. Katharine Drexel Shelter and Holyland Food Pantry. We will sell soup for $4 per container or three for $10 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm at Holy Family Church. SUMMARY:Women's Ministry: Sharing Our Journey
DESCRIPTION:Women’s Ministry invites all women of the parish to attend its “Sharing Our Journey” event from 7:00 to 10:15 am on Saturday\, January 21 at Holy Family Church and Hall. The morning will include Adoration\, Confession\, Mass\, a speaker from New Beginnings\, and an opportunity to learn about the HOPE Box\, as well as to sign up for Small Groups and Bible Studies. Meant to be a hopeful resource for mothers and fathers of our community to encourage them to choose life\, the HOPE Box will include such items as pregnancy help resources\, an invitation to host a baby shower at our church and\, poignantly\, an “Esther letter” from a member of our community who has faced a similar decision and yet chose life for their child and family. Those who attend this morning retreat are asked to bring the following items for the HOPE Box to the event or to the Parish Office: candle – tea light size in a holder of some sort; lotion- 2-5 oz. container; hand soap or hand sanitizer – 2-5 oz. container; and journal – 4×6 or smaller.

DESCRIPTION:Get your lederhosen ready! Holy Family Catholic Community will host its first Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday\, October 8 at Holy Family Church. The event will begin a bilingual Mass in English and German at the 4:00 pm Mass. Around 5:00 pm\, the celebration will move to the Prayer Garden with face painting\, 50/50 raffle\, yard games\, a petting zoo\, activities for young and old\, and the renown German folk band\, Dorf Kapelle. Bratwurst\, German potato salad\, tacos\, nachos\, desserts\, soda\, and beer will be available for purchase. In the event of rain\, the event will be moved into Holy Family Hall. \n¡Prepara tus lederhosen! La Comunidad Católica de la Sagrada Familia organizará su primera celebración del Oktoberfest el sábado 8 de octubre en la Iglesia de la Sagrada Familia. DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin Holy Family Catholic Community for its Women’s Ministry Kick-Off at 6:00 pm Thursday\, September 15 at Holy Family Church\, 271 Fourth Street Way. \nThe night will begin at 6:00 pm with Mass\, followed by snacks and a social in the hall\, and a talk from Anne Auger on “Beauty-full: The Gifts of Womanhood.” Anne graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a Masters Degree in 2003. She has worked extensively in both the Milwaukee and Madison dioceses in RCIA\, Adult Catechesis\, Youth Ministry and Religious Ed programs. The sister of Fr. John Paul Mitchell\, Anne is a wife and mother of six children and serves as the Director of Religious Education for her parish in Sullivan\, WI. She is an instructor at the Seat of Wisdom Institute in Madison and runs her own small business with over 500 customers. Anne has been a keynote speaker at many parishes and Catholic organizations. She has a heart for people and loves sharing the message of the beauty of our creation and the gift of womanhood. \nThose who attend are asked to bring a package (or two) of newborn and size 1 diapers. The Mass will honor all those who serve and protect our community in the public safety field\, and pray for their future protection.  \nThis Mass is celebrated annually throughout the United States in Catholic Churches for those employed in the public safety field. The color blue relates to the blue-colored uniforms predominately used by these services and were celebrated for the first time in the United States in 1934.  \nThose who attend are encouraged to wear their uniforms and have a flag to representing their agency in the Gathering Space. A reception will follow with refreshments.

We will sell soup for $4 per container or $10 for three containers following the 4:00 pm Masses at Sacred Heart and Holy Family\, as well as make it available for pickup at Holy Family from 2:30 to 4:00 pm.  \nParticipants include: Avenue 795\, A & W Restaurant\, Bench Warmers Bar & Grille\, Boda’s Restaurant and Catering\, Brick House\, Downtown Deli to Go/Top Shelf Sports Bar & Grille\, Domino’s\, Fat Joe’s Burgers and Brew\, Friar Tuck’s\, Gilles Frozen Custard\, Mancino’s Pizza & Grinders\, Oasis\, Pamela’s Bar and Grille\, Salty’s Seafood and Spirits\, Sunset on the Water\, and Theo’s 24.
