The Gift of Sunday Advent Mission

Holy Family St. Mary Church 59 E. Merrill Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, United States

Holy Family will host one of 18 Advent Missions taking place throughout the Archdiocese from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on December 1 at St. Mary Church. This Mission, presented by Fr. Jordan Berghouse, is based on The Gift of Sunday, a theological reflection issued by Archbishop Jerome Listecki. The evening will be held to in the context of a prayer service and will highlight the importance of Sunday Mass in living out our faith on a daily basis. Holy Family será el anfitrión de una de las 18 Misiones de Adviento que se llevarán a cabo en toda la Arquidiócesis de 7:00 a 8:30 pm el 1 de diciembre en la Iglesia de Santa María. Esta Misión, presentada por el P. Jordan Berghouse, se basa en The Gift of Sunday, una reflexión teológica emitida por el arzobispo Jerome Listecki. La velada se llevará a cabo en el contexto de un servicio de oración y destacará la importancia de la misa dominical para vivir nuestra fe a diario.

Holy Family Catholic Community Advent Talks

Sacred Heart Church 200 S. Peters Ave., Fond du Lac, WI, United States

Catherine and Chris McGalloway will host our Advent Talk series where our priest team will explore the Prophet Isaiah, John the Baptist, Mary, and Joseph on Mondays throughout the Advent season at 6:30 pm at Sacred Heart Church. Each talk is 30 minutes, followed by a 30 minute discussion/Q&A and a decade of the Rosary. Monday, November 29: Fr. Ryan will discuss the Prophet Isaiah, the Incarnation, and God coming to us in human form. Monday, December 6: Fr. Fabián will dive into John the Baptist and how like he prepared for Jesus, we prepare for Jesus' second coming, waiting in joyful hope. Monday, December 13: Fr. Edward will look at Mother Mary, her obedience, and how she is the perfect image to inspire us to wait and desire to see the Lord's face. Monday, December 20: In our final week, Fr. Justin will journey with Joseph as we recall his silence and courage.

Our Lady of Guadalupe

On December 12, the Feast of our Lady Mary of Guadalupe will start at Holy Family Church with the traditional Mañanitas at 5:00 am. Mass will be at 12:00 pm with Aztec dance and our choir singing to Mary of Guadalupe. Lunch will follow in Holy Family Hall. Este 12 de diciembre fiesta de nuestra Señora María De Guadalupe, en la Iglesia de Holy Family, comenzando con las tradicionales mañanitas a las 5:00am. Misa 12:00pm con danza Azteca y nuestro coro que cantara a María de Guadalupe, después de misa tendremos almuerzo en el salón de Holy Family.

Holy Family Quilters Group

Holy Family St. Mary Church 59 E. Merrill Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, United States

The Holy Family Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 am in the St. Mary's Church basement. All the quilts that we make go to the less fortunate people in the area. We also make lap quilts for the area nursing homes. We can use small pieces or yardage of new material to make the tops and clean blankets and mattress pads, also any sewing items.  These items can be dropped off at the church office, or call Dorothy, 920-238-0480, or Catherine, 920-539-0313 for pick up.

St. Ambrose Men’s Group

You are invited to join dozens of men every Wednesday morning from 5:30 to 6:45 am in the Holy Family Hall, 271 Fourth Street Way, for Men's Group running from January 5 to April 6. The St. Ambrose Men's Group hosts "That Man is You" every Wednesday. The morning includes coffee and doughnuts, a video for the program at 6:00 am, and a small group discussion. Stuebenville Conference Informational Meeting

Holy Family Catholic Community invites high school students to learn more about the upcoming trip to the Stuebenville Rochester Conference at the informational meeting following the 11:00 am Mass on Sunday, January 9 in the Sacred Heart School Basement. Building the Domestic Church Parent Sessions: Leading Your Family

All parents are invited to attend Holy Family’s Building the Domestic Church sessions, which will teach attendees how to take their Catholic faith beyond the church doors and into their home. This session will discuss leading your family. As a parent you are the primary witness to your children. Are you modeling the behavior you want to see in your children? Is your spousal relationship a witness to what yo hope for your children? How do you build virtue and reject sin to be holy? How do you stay committed to the Truth of the Church despite the draw of the culture? Childcare will be available for children ages 3 and up. Please drop children off in the gym of Sacred Heart School.

Women’s Ministry presents: “Draw Close to Jesus” : A Morning Retreat

Holy Family Catholic Community's Women's Ministry will host "Draw Close to Jesus" - A Morning Retreat the morning of Saturday, January 15. The day will include: Confession, Adoration, Rosary, Mass, breakfast, a talk on Merridth Frediani's book "Draw Close to Jesus: A Woman's Guide to Eucharistic Adoration," a small group testimonial speaker, introduction of small groups, small group sign-up, and prayer. Jesus changed many women's lives with healing and forgiveness. In our talk about "Draw Close to Jesus" by Merridith Frediani, we will discuss how engaging in Eucharistic Adoration can change our lives and transform us.
